Chiptimer – the worlds most affordable event timing system was engineered in 2009. The product focus was to provide a quality product at an affordable price. The system hardware and software was revamped and in 2015 the ChipTimer II saw the light.
 Currently a number of timing systems exist on world markets, but none of these are affordable in mostly the African market, and it is exactly here where we believe that we can make a difference. In the competitive world of sport today it is imperative that technology is distributed to all sectors of our community.
BioProduct not only focuses on manufacturing and retailing of the Chiptimer II system, but also strives to establishing a world-wide network of timing agents. Currently we have Timing Agents in Africa and the Middle East.

Technology

ChipTimer II makes use of RFID Technology which is a fast, accurate and affordable solution for race timing at sport events such as marathons, mountain biking, road cycling, triathlons, open water swimming and trail runs. Our timing solution works with stage races, multiple disciplines, categories and age groups, lap timing events and start-finish events.
Easily capture new entries or import your participants from OnlineEntry. Results are available in realtime or exported to csv.
The antennas are waterproof, light weight and tripods are included in the initial purchase of the system. This makes it easy to transport and easy to setup. No matter what the weather circumstances, the race timing can continue.
There are a number of different chips available that will suite the event organizer whether it should be reusable or disposable. There are chips that mount on the shoe, chips that mount on the wrist or ankle, chips that mount on the running bib and chips that mount on the bike. Whatever the need, ChipTimer II can accommodate the event organizer.

Entry Portal

EventEntry.co.za is a free event registration website that offers event organizers a quick and easy solution to managing entries for sporting events. There is no need for Participants to register before they may enter for an event. Event Organizers can export the list of registered participants for their events and import them into the ChipTimer timing solution. No more data capturing for race day preparation! EventEntry.co.za imports csv results from ChipTimer to publish them on the website for all participants to check their position, time and ranking across all categories and disciplines.

Camera Recording

Our High Speed Cameras are used to record the Finish area during the course of the event. This highlights the most memorable time of the race for most competitors.

These recordings are then uploaded to youtube and made available to all competitors to watch and enjoy their moment of glory (or relief). To make things easy we post a link next to the name of each competitor giving them direct access to the point where they cross the finish line.
